Wales' match against Austria cancelled amid Covid-19 outbreak
The match between Wales and Austria has been cancelled amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Football Association of Wales have confirmed.
It has suspended domestic football at all levels in Wales until at least 4 April due to coronavirus.
The match was due to be played on March 27 at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.
It comes as the Premier League and English Football League suspended all fixtures after the global outbreak was declared a pandemic on Wednesday.
The FAW said the safety of fans and players is paramount.
Those who have purchased tickets for the game will receive a full refund.
The FAW also confirmed on Thursday that it had cancelled Wales' upcoming friendly against the USA on 30 March.
A number of other sporting events have also been cancelled since the outbreak. On Thursday, rugby union's Guinness PRO14, a club competition which features teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa and Wales, was suspended.
On Thursday, Wales' coronavirus response moved into the “delay” phase which is the second of a four-fold plan against Covid-19. People who experience new coughs or new temperatures are now being asked to self-isolate for seven days.
