21-year-old killed in car crash on Heads of the Valleys road

A 21-year-old has been killed in a car crash on the Heads of the Valleys Road.

The collision involving one vehicle, a white Volkswagen Polo, took place on the A465 near Tredegar at around 1.15am on Sunday.

The man, from the Brynmawr area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 22-year-old man from the Blaina area was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation.

Paramedics from the South Wales Ambulance service were also at the incident.

Gwent Police is urging anyone with information to come forward.
