What happens if I need a coronavirus test?
With more than 100,000 cases of coronavirus confirmed around the world, what should you do if you suspect you may have the virus?
The UK government has announced more money is being invested into finding a vaccine and developing a rapid test for Covid-19 as millions could end up needing to be checked.
But, if you think you have the symptoms of and you have returned from a holiday in an area affected by the virus, what happens next?
The official advice is to call NHS Wales on 111 and if you meet the criteria, you will be told you need a test at home.
Dr Catherine Moore, a consultant clinical scientist for Public Health Wales explains what that test involves:
"You won't see anybody in a space suit", she explains.
"What you will see is a practice nurse or a doctor coming to your house. They will bring all of the equipment needed in a small box and go into a side room away from the patient.
"They will prepare themselves to take a sample because obviously when you take a swab from the throat, there's a good chance you might cough or sneeze, so we need to make sure the healthcare workers are protected.
"We provide them with the personal protective equipment that they need so they will not be infected by the coronavirus should that person have it.
"We will then using a tongue depressor. We will press down the tongue to be able to see the back of the throat and what we will ask them to do is take two throat swabs.
"It can be quite uncomfortable", Dr Moore added. "Some people will cough which is why the protective equipment is there.
"Forms will be filled in, the sample will go inside a box in a container. The outside of the box is cleaned down with a bleach product along with all of the waste that has been generated and it will be disposed of."
She explains the whole process will take about 30 minutes.
"In terms of getting a result, the test can be done in about a day, maybe two days, depending on our numbers but generally it's within 48 hours."
