Man tasered after trying to throw microwave at police officers

A man has been sentenced to four months in prison after trying to throw a microwave at police officers.

Nathan Caine, 25, refused to cooperate with officers and threatened to throw a microwave at them after they attended a report of an assault on February 4.

An officer is clearly heard shouting "put the microwave down" at Mr Caine. The PC was forced to use a taser just moments before the household appliance was thrown in an effort to control the situation.

The force said tasers are used to ensure the safety of officers and members of the public.
