Snickers apologises after comparing Welsh language to 'sitting on a keyboard'
The chocolate bar maker, Snickers, has been forced to apologise to its customers after comparing the Welsh language to someone "sat on a keyboard."
The company tweeted "A place in Wales or someone sat on a keyboard? A thread." on Tuesday afternoon. The post has since been deleted and Snickers apologised to everyone offended by the tweet.
The thread started with LlanfairpwllgwyngyllIt, a place that's in the Guiness Book of Records for being the place with the longest name in Britain.

However, the comment was met with criticism online and many calling the company out over its comments. Some people said they wanted Snickers to release a special edition Snicker baring the colour of the Welsh flag.
Snickers have said they are "hugely and wholeheartedly thankful" to their Welsh fans in the UK and all over the world and "promise not to let ill-informed tweets ruin this relationship any further."
