'Major weather event' as snow hits north Wales during Storm Ciara clean-up
Police have declared a "major weather event" as heavy snowfall in parts of north Wales makes some routes impassable.
North Wales Police says roads between Dolgellau, Bala, Blaenau and Trawsfynydd are "severely affected" and they've urged motorists to avoid traveling in the area.
Some vehicles are trapped and councils say they're working to clear major roads.
This comes as the clean-up operation continues across large parts of Wales following Storm Ciara.
Travel disruption, flooding and power cuts affected large parts of Wales after Storm Ciara brought winds of over 90 miles per hour on Sunday.
