Roads closed after man stabbed in 'serious assault' in Cardiff
Two streets in Cardiff have been closed after a man was stabbed in a 'serious' assault on Friday.
There is heavy police presence on Ninian Park Road, with Telford Street and Smeaton Street both sealed off.
South Wales Police said they were called out to the Riverside area of Cardiff just before 7.40am on Friday morning.
The alleged victim was taken to the University Hospital of Wales with stab wounds, where he remains in a stable condition.
A Smeaton St Resident said armed police arrived in the area following the incident.
Another resident said they they saw their neighbour ''bleeding'' and ''calling out for help''.
Officers said the roads will remain closed for 'forensic examinations'' as the investigation continues.
