Woman arrested in Blackwood murder investigation

A woman has been arrested in connection with a murder investigation in Blackwood.

Shane Jones, 33, died following an alleged assault at an address in Apollo Way at 10pm on Tuesday, January 14.

A 32-year-old man from Blackwood has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on conditional bail pending further investigation.

On Monday, a spokesman from Gwent Police confirmed a 35-year-old woman, also from Blackwood, had been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and been released on conditional bail pending further investigation.
