Rhys Webb eligible for selection for Wales' 2020 Six Nations campaign
The Welsh Rugby Union have confirmed that Rhys Webb will be eligible to play for Wales in the 2020 Six Nations.
The scrum-half is set leave Toulon at the end of the season to return to the Ospreys on a two year deal.
Top 14 side Toulon agreed to release Webb from his contract a year early due to "family reasons".
The WRU have confirmed that following an application from Webb the Professional Rugby Board have allowed a six-month dispensation from the Senior Player Selection Policy.
This means new Wales head coach Wayne Pivac can consider Web for selection for Wales' opening game of the 2020 Six Nations at the Principality Stadium against Italy on 1st February.
Webb had been ineligible to play international rugby since the WRU introduced a selection policy in October 2017 that meant players with fewer than 60 caps would not be picked if they opted to play outside of Wales.
