Scrum-half Rhys Webb returns to Wales from Toulon for 'family reasons'
Scrum-half Rhys Webb will leave Toulon Rugby Club and return to Wales at the end of the season for to "family reasons".
Rhys Webb, 31, released a statement which said: “I would like to thank the club for the welcome and support it has given me since I joined last season. It has been and remains an honor to play for this great club.
"I loved all the time I spent here and I would especially like to thank my teammates, coaches, supporters and all those who are now for me as family and friends for life."
"It was difficult for me to be away from my family and my young children. From now on, I am determined to give my best for the club until the end of the season and I hope that we will obtain the victories that the club deserves."
Rhys Webb has played 26 games for Toulon Rugby Club in total.
He played for Ospreys before he left in 2018 to join the French club on a three-year deal.
Webb was unable to represent Wales in the 2019 Rugby World Cup following his move from the Ospreys to Toulon as Welsh Rugby Union rules stipulate that players based outside the country must have 60 caps.
