Record bathers for Tenby Boxing Day Swim

Hundreds of Boxing Day bathers arrived at Tenby this morning for the annual swim.

Organisers say 800 people braved the waters - the highest turned out in the swim's 49-year history despite the adverse weather forecast.

But the rain and winds held-off as the dippers made their way down North Beach with Tenby's all-weather lifeboat watching over them.

The fancy dress theme was 'Climate Change' and there were seals, penguins and polar bears.

This year's medals were made of wood rather than plastic and 771 were claimed by bathers.

The money raised this year will go towards Tenby Talking Newspaper and Prostate Cymru.
