No sign of Alun Cairns since resignation from government as Welsh Secretary
After Alun Cairns resigned from his role in government following allegations he knew about a former aide's role in "sabotaging" a rape trial, the former Welsh Secretary has not been seen in public.
He wrote to the prime minister on Wednesday describing it as "a very sensitive matter, and in light of continued speculation, I write to tender my resignation as Secretary of State for Wales."
Despite calls, Mr Cairns is not standing down as a candidate in the upcoming general election.
