Cardiff woman runs marathon for miscarriage charity and raises thousands
When Kerrie Aldridge set off to run the London Marathon 2019 she had no idea what was about to happen.
A self-confessed non-runner, she knew the 26-mile challenge would be tough, but what happened next defied even her own expectations.
Kerrie's video touched the hearts of hundreds on social media, and by the time she finished the marathon, she had raised more than £12,000 for the Miscarriage Association.
She says she is extremely proud, but for her, raising awareness is just as important as raising money.
Kerrie is one of four people to be nominated and shortlisted for the Pride of Britain ITV Fundraiser Award.
The award honours individuals who have really made a difference to others through their creative or tireless fundraising efforts.
One of the four shortlisted will be crowned Wales' ITV Fundraiser of the Year 2019 and will attend the star-studded awards ceremony in London at the end of October, where they could be in with a chance to win the overall UK Fundraiser 2019 award.
Last year's Wales winner was 31-year-old Josh Llewellyn-Jones, who raised over £80,000 to help children living with Cystic Fibrosis.
