Rhyl man dies on holiday in Tenerife

A man from Rhyl has died while on holiday in Tenerife.

Michael Lewis, also known as Liam Boland or "Brillo", was staying in the Adeje area when he died.

Speaking to the Rhyl Journal, his aunt Karen Hughes said the 23-year-old was attacked on Tuesday and died in hospital two days later.

She posted a tribute on Facebook, which said, "Michael Lewis (Liam Boland) has sadly been taken cruelly from his family and friends. Liam/Michael was a very special person to many people, he was too young and innocent to leave us this way. We will miss him."

A fundraising page has been set up to cover the funeral costs. More than a thousand pounds has been raised.
