A&E departments across Wales have seen their highest number of attendances on record in figures released by the Welsh Government.

Nearly 100,000 people visited departments across the country during July.

That is more than a two per cent rise since last July.

The overall number of people in July who visited A&E departments that are part of other health boards across Wales:

  • 15,056 - Hywel Dda University Local Health Board

  • 11,688 - Swansea Bay University Health Board in July

  • 17,657 - Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board

  • 16,308 - Aneurin Bevan University Local Health Board

The Welsh NHS Confederation said the figures reflect the year-round pressure on the health service.
