Chief executive of Cwm Taf health board Allison Williams resigns following maternity scandal
The chief executive of a scandal-hit health board has resigned.
Allison Williams stepped down as head of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board on August 20th.

In a statement, the Chair of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Prof Marcus Longley said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Allison for her dedication to the organisation over the past 10 years and wish her well for the future."
Ms Williams, who took up her role as chief executive in 2011, was on an extended period of sickness absence.
The announcement follows revelations earlier this year that there were systemic failings in maternity services at Cwm Taf Morgannwg health board.
Investigations were launched following the deaths and serious injuries of mothers and babies and reviews are ongoing into the health board's running of maternity services.
