Driver killed in two-car crash in Cardiff

A driver has died following a crash in Cardiff.

It involved a Nissan Micra and Audi A3 and happened on Cowbridge Road West's junction with Hillsnook Road, Ely, at about 2.40 pm on Friday.

The 35-year-old man from Cardiff, who drove the Audi, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

The driver of the Micra died from their injuries after being taken to the University Hospital of Wales the city.

South Wales police is appealing for witnesses or anyone who stopped to help the drivers after the crash.
