A loss has also wrecked their hopes of overtaking New Zealand as the world number one team.

Gareth Anscombe left the field in the first half with a knee injury, allowing Dan Biggar to make an appearance.

Warren Gatland says Anscombe will be receiving a scan on his leg over the next few days.
