Gwent police suspend two officers in criminal offence probe

Two police officers have been suspended as an investigation has been launched into allegations of criminal offence against a serving Gwent Police officer.

Gwent Police said allegations of misconduct against other serving officers are also being looked at.

Two people have been suspended while inquiries continue.

The investigation is being overseen by the the police watchdog - the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

Avon and Somerset Police is carrying out the investigation.
