Family appeal after Bridgend pensioner goes missing on Greek island of Zante
The family of a pensioner who has gone missing in Greece are appealing for information to help trace him.
73-year-old John Tossell from Bridgend is said to have gone for a walk to a monastery on the island of Zakynthos, also known as Zante, on 17 June - and hasn't been seen since.
Mr Tossell's daughter Katy told ITV Wales the emergency services have been searching for him but have now scaled down their enquiries.
She said there was a confirmed sighting of her father at a cafe near Mount Skopos which is close to the village of Argassi at around 3pm. He is believed to have spoken to a lady between 45-55 years old with shoulder length blonde hair who was with her partner.
The terrain in the area is described as very rugged with some parts almost impossible to reach by foot.
"We need to try and find this couple but we are also appealing for information from anyone that potentially may have seen him on his walk back down the mountain, but might now have flown home".
