A five-year-old boy from South Wales has died while on holiday on the Greek island of Kos.
Theo Treharne-Jones, from Merthyr Tydfil, is understood to have drowned in a swimming pool at a hotel in Marmari, where he and his family were staying, on Saturday morning.
Local police confirmed the parents had been arrested and later released, in what was described as standard procedure.
A spokesperson for the holiday operator TUI said its team at the resort was offering support to the family.
Deputy Leader of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council, Lisa Mytton, said her "thoughts and prayers" are with the family.
