Police investigating the murder of a 74-year-old man at his home in Anglesey have carried out a series of raids.

Gerald Corrigan was attempting to fix a satellite dish at his home near South Stack Road when he was hit by a crossbow. The pensioner suffered “horrendous injuries” after the bolt passed through his upper body and right arm.

The searches of four properties took place at Holyhead in Anglesey.

Detectives have called in national experts for assistance and appealed to the culprit to come forward.
