11-year-old boy airlifted to hospital following serious collision in Pontardawe

An 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following a serious road traffic collision in Pontardawe.

The incident happened on the A4067 at around 8:30 this morning involving more than six cars and an empty coach.

The boy was taken to hospital by the air ambulance and fire services were also at the scene.

One man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

South Wales Police remain at the scene and say the road will remain closed for some time while they carry out their investigations.
