Road closures in place as Cardiff goes car free
Road closures are in place as Cardiff goes car free in a bid to cut air pollution.
Last year, an estimated 10,000 people took part in the event.
A number of roads in the city centre will remain closed until 6pm:
A city centre-wide closure until 6pm.
Castle Street from the junction of Westgate Street through until North Road/Kingsway junction which will be closed until 8pm.
Civic Centre will be restricted with no parking until 6pm.
Station Terrace will be closed until 5pm but buses and residential access is available.
Andrew Gregory, Director of Planning, Transport and Environment said it is a way to become less dependent on car travel.
A variety of family-friendly, entertainment and activities are planned for Castle Street and North Road, these include sports activities, demonstrations, live music, dancing and a Bike Parade.
