Celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford is opening a new academy to train Welsh students in hairdressing and barbering skills.

The new training centre is a part of the NPTC Group of Colleges, incorporating Afan, Brecon Beacons, and Newtown College.

At a launch event for the academy, the award winning hairdresser said it will be "the only one of its kind in Wales".

Organisers at the pink-themed launch event said the aim of the training is to make Welsh students "the most employable in the country; as stylists, colourists or in any hairdressing field of their choice".
