Police make two arrests in investigation into Emiliano Sala mortuary photo

Police investigating an image shared online purporting to show the post mortem of Emiliano Sala have arrested two people.

The post mortem examination of Sala was conducted at Holly Tree Lodge Mortuary in Dorset in February.

In a statement, Dorset Police confirmed a 48-year-old woman was arrested at an address in Wiltshire on February 18th. The woman was arrested on suspicion of unauthorised access to computer material (an offence under the Computer Misuse Act) and malicious communications. She has been released on conditional bail.

Another person, a 62-year-old man, has also been arrested on suspicion of unauthorised access to computer material, and is currently released under investigation.

Police say there is no evidence to suggest any staff from the mortuary were involved.
