Storm Hannah leaves homes without power following strong winds and heavy rain
Hundreds of homes in Wales have been left without power following strong winds and heavy rain by Storm Hannah.
Winds of more than 80mph have hit the Welsh coastline with the highest gust of 82mph recorded at Aberdaron.
Meanwhile a gust of 78mph was recorded at Pembrey Sands in Carmarthenshire.
A yellow wind warning is in place for Wales until 3pm because of a threat to transport networks and power cuts.
Transport for Wales said storm damage on the Conwy Valley line meant buses were replacing trains between Llandudno Junction and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Western Power Distribution said more than 1,700 properties across the UK had been left without power on its network on Saturday morning, with the majority of those affected in Wales.
Meanwhile Scottish Power said up to 3,000 homes were without power overnight, mainly in Rhosneigr on Anglesey, Abersoch and Caernarfon. They say engineers are working to get everyone reconnected as quickly as possible and around 400 homes are still without power.
Storm Hannah also brought some comedy to a street in Cardiff as a panda-shaped tent was seen flying down a residential area of Roath.
