Snowdon's summit building prepares to mark 10th Anniversary
Snowdon Mountain Railway is preparing to mark the 10th anniversary since the opening of its summit building.
Hafod Eryri, which loosely translates as ‘high summer dwelling on Snowdon’, opened in June 2009 replacing the ageing building that had stood there since 1935.
At 3,507ft above sea level it is Wales’ highest inhabited building, and also serves as the terminus for the railway with around half-a-million visitors a year.
