'I'm still dad' How one woman is hoping to help other trans parents around the world
Gemma is a happy and successful father-of-two.
That might read as a confusing sentence.
But, Gemma is transgender and still says she's a dad.
She doesn't like labels. It might be one reason why it took her decades to come out as transgender. A lack of role models when she was growing up also didn't help.
Now she is sharing her story in the hope of helping other families.
As a young man, Jeff did all the things he thought he had to, played sport and dated women.
He got married to Denise and they had two children.
But early in their relationship, Denise found some of Jeff's female clothes - and over the years, things progressed.
The children could see their dad looked different to others. Eventually they were told why.
Denise and Gemma are now divorced but are still living together with their two children.
It is thought up to 500,000 people in the UK identify as trans.
Gemma hopes her story will be considered a "success story" - to show other trans parents that they can still live as a family.
