Hundreds attend funeral of veteran Newport MP Paul Flynn
Hundreds have gathered to pay their respects at the funeral of the veteran MP Paul Flynn.
He represented Newport West for 32 years before his death in February at the age of 84.
Paul Flynn held several shadow cabinet posts during his parliamentary career, including a brief stint as shadow secretary of state for Wales in 2016. He had not been active in the Commons in the months leading up to his death due to illness.
Politicians across the country and paid their respects to Mr Flynn after the news of his death
Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford describing him as a "giant of the Welsh Labour movement" and the UK Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn said he was saddened at the passing of his "good friend".
The Labour Leader attended Mr Flynn's funeral at St Woolos Cathedral on Friday morning.

The Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow told ITV News at the time he was "gutted" to hear of the news of Mr Flynn's death.
