Man jailed for murder after 'sustained and brutal assault' on Flintshire man Andrew Hamilton
A man has been jailed for 23 years for the murder of a man in Flintshire in what police described as a "sustained and brutal assault".
Forty-two-year-old Andrew Hamilton's body was found at a property in High Street, Bagillt in July.
Williams told the court he killed Hamilton in self-defence but he was convicted after a trial at Mold Crown Court.
The court heard Williams used a saucepan, a bottle and a kitchen knife during the attack in which Andrew Hamilton sustained 95 injuries.
In a statement following sentencing, Mr Hamilton's family said their life "has never been the same" since he died.
