'Hello - is it me you're looking for?' Social media mocks Lionel Richie lookalike in police appeal

A social media police appeal has gone viral after users spotted the resemblance of a man to the American singer Lionel Richie.

The South Wales Police Cardiff page posted on Facebook asking for anyone to identify the man pictured in what appears to be a nightclub with an appeal for information.

They say he is wanted in connection to an assault.

The post has had almost 6,000 comments - with many poking fun at the similarity - using the soul singer's lyrics to do so.

Anyone with any information to the incident is asked to contact 101.
