Man charged after 43-year-old Caerphilly man killed in crash

A 43-year-old man has been killed in a car crash on the New Road in Ystrad Mynach last Friday.

The collision involved a black Seat Leon and a grey Volkswagen Crafter van.

The man, from the Fleur-De-Lis area of Caerphilly, died at the scene.

A 30 year old man from the Caerphilly area has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious Injury by dangerous driving.

He’s due to appear at Newport Magistrates today.

Police are requesting any motorists using the road between 8.15pm and 8.30pm last Friday to check any dash cam footage.
