South Wales firefighters crowned world champions for rescue services
South Wales Fire and Rescue service have been crowned as the world's best at a world-wide competition.
The rescue team won the Rescue Organisation challenge both nationally and at a world-wide competition.
The Bridgend Extrication team made the trip to Cape Town in South Africa where they brought the title home to Wales for the third successive year and for the sixth time overall - beating out 30 of the best teams from 17 countries.

Over the 19 years of competition, there have been a total of 20 different personnel who have competed in the Bridgend team.
