People gave us power to solve Brexit, not stab each other, says MP who backs May

A Welsh Tory MP who's part of a group committed to delivering Brexit in a deal with the EU has claimed that his fellow Conservatives will find that many of their constituents want to give Theresa May's plan a chance and that "a consensus" could emerge around it.

Speaking on Sky News, Carmarthen West & South Pembrokeshire MP Simon Hart, strongly opposed any challenge to the Prime Minister through a vote of no confidence by Conservative MPs. He said his Brexit Delivery Group was "in the mood to support anything that gets Brexit over the line, within reason".

Mr Hart said the Brexit Delivery Group would be publishing polling data on the public mood later.
