Porthcawl waterfront receives European Union redevelopment funding
The development of Porthcawl's waterfront has received £1.5m funding from the European Union.
The money being invested is part of the Welsh Government's Tourism Attractor Destination programme which aims to create 13 must-see tourist destinations across Wales.
The development will include a centre for watersports at Rest Bay beach including cafe and restaurant facilities. It will also go towards refurbishment of the existing Porthcawl Harbour and the introduction of a 4K cycle route.
Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport, Lord Elis Thomas hopes the investment will attract more visitors to the area.
