Armed police surround Cardiff Bay building

Armed police were called to a building in Cardiff Bay this morning, following reports that a man was threatening to harm himself.

At around 8:30am, police cordoned off the foyer and the area immediately around the building.

They deployed specially trained negotiators to the area as well as the Welsh Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team.

Police said man was detained "without incident" at 12:30pm.
