The father of a teenage boy who died after an incident at his school has called for the headteacher to stand down.

14-year-old St John Lloyd School pupil, Bradley Dylan John from Ammanford, died in hospital on Wednesday. It is thought he took his own life.

Last week, Bradley's father led tributes to his son, describing him as a 'charismatic, wonderful and dearly loved individual.'

'We as a family are devastated to lose Bradley.'

Now the family say they want answers as to how their son died on what should have been a normal day at school.

On Friday, the family handed a petition into staff at St. John Lloyd school calling for the headteacher to stand down and claiming the school had failed to properly tackle bullying.

A spokesperson for the school has said their thoughts and prayers remained with Bradley's family.

The council, which runs the school in partnership with the Diocese of Menevia, said their focus was on supporting everyone involved and that they hoped to meet with Bradley's father early next week.
