Plaid MPs back challengers over Leanne Wood in leadership contest

All four Plaid Cymru MPs have pledged their support to a leadership candidate, but none are backing current leader Leanne Wood.

Dwyfor Meirionnydd MP Liz Saville Roberts, who is the party's Westminster group leader, and Arfon MP Hywel Williams have both endorsed Adam Price this morning. Mr Price already had the backing of his fellow Carmarthen East and Dinefwr representative Jonathan Edwards MP and Ceredigion MP Ben Lake has said he's supporting Ynys Môn AM Rhun ap Iorwerth in the contest.

All three candidates appeared together for the first time since the contest began on last night's Sharp End, which you can watch here. Hustings begin tonight and the winner will be announced on September 28th.
