Governor of Welsh 'super prison' suspended

The governor of Wales' newest, largest prison, HMP Berwyn, in Wrexham, has been suspended.

The Prison Service said that Russell Trent has been removed from his post after allegations were made against him.

Russell Trent was appointed governor of HMP Berwyn in 2015.

HMP Berwyn was opened in February 2017.

The prison can house more than 2000 prisoners.
