Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood has hit back at suggestions she could be replaced as the party's leader. The window to challenge the Rhondda AM closes at midnight on Wednesday, 4th July. Both Adam Price and Rhun ap Iorwerth have written essays questioning the party's direction amid speculation they could be set for a leadership bid.

But now Leanne Wood says she's still the right person to lead the party and had this message for members.

Mr Price played a key role in getting Leanne Wood elected as the party's leader in 2012 - but suggested yesterday they needed a "co-leadership model" with a male and a female running Plaid Cymru. Today that was rejected by Leanne Wood.
