'Uber-style' transport app for hospital patients piloted in the Valleys

An Uber-Style transport app for NHS patients in the South Wales Valleys is being piloted by the Welsh Government.

An 'Uber-style' app to help patients travelling to hospital appointments is being piloted by the Welsh Government.

It said the app is designed to bring together providers of community transport and is part of a wider scheme looking at how technology can be used to help people living and working in the South Wales Valleys.

The Ministerial Taskforce for the South Wales Valleys are also looking at piloting a community WiFi scheme and encouraging community hubs to open up their WiFi to local people.
