Swansea East MP, Carolyn Harris, has won her campaign for the Westminster Government to cover the costs of child burials and cremation.

The fees were waved in Wales last year - but now they will be avoided in England too:

Ms Harris has long campaigned for the change. Her eight-year-old son Martin died in 1989 and she needed a loan to bury him.

Today, the Prime Minister has said the Children's Funeral Fund will be set up in England, in memory of Martin and in support of all those parents 'overwhelmed by such harrowing loss'.
