Emergency services launch undercover officers and drones to prevent grassfires
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Gwent Police are launching new tactics to help prevent grassfires.
It comes at the start of Easter - which traditionally sees a spike in the number of grassfires -according to the fire service.
Despite this, figures show there's been a fall in the number of deliberately set grassfires in South Wales in recent years but the fire service says there have still been nearly 1000 incidents since last April.
This year, police will be using undercover officers in the valleys communities to weed out potential arsonists.
The Fire Service says every grassfire means precious manpower will be diverted away from other potentially life-threatening incidents.
