Michael Sheen and shooting victim to hand petition to Government over domestic violence law
A woman who was shot by her estranged husband seven years ago is calling on the UK Government to review licenses given to perpetrators of domestic violence and make sure victims are protected.
Rachel Williams will hand in a petition to Downing Street.
The petition has already had over 100,000 signatures and Rachel's even gained support from actor Michael Sheen.
She's been raising awareness of domestic violence for a number of years and has used her own experiences to help other victims.
Rachel was shot in the leg by her former husband Darren at the hairdressing salon where she worked in Newport just six weeks after they split up.
Two women are killed every week due to domestic violence and it's been estimated to cost the public £23 billion per year.
