Nearly 100 jobs at risk at Peter's Food services

Nearly 100 staff at a pie company in Caerphilly are set to lose their jobs.

Peter's Food Services, in Bedwas, announced it has chosen to "step away from some of its less profitable business".

It said production at the Bedwas site will be "reduced" and a number of staff "could be affected".

It added the company will do "everything possible" to minimise impact on their staff.

Union Usdaw said it has entered into consultation talks with the company - that makes pies, pasties sausage rolls and slices.
