Human remains found on beach believed to be male
Police were alerted to the the discovery of human remains on a beach by the Menai Strait in Wales on the morning of Wednesday 7 February.
They say post mortem confirmed the remains are of a right foot and believed to be male.
Police say it is difficult to ‘age’ the remains and tests indicate they had been in the water for no more than a week.
They say the post mortem revealed nothing to suggest the death is suspicious.
Enquires to identify the remains and inform relatives are ongoing.
The grim discovery was made at Y Felinheli, a village between Bangor and Caernarfon in Gwynedd, north-west Wales.
