Play commemorates South Wales Valleys contribution to First World War

A theatre company has put on a play commemorating the contribution the South Wales Valleys made to the First World War.

It marks 100 years since the war ended. 'Forget Me Not' is being performed at Pontypridd Museum.

The production tells the story of Valleys men and boys who went to war.

It also explores the changing role of women at that time.

The local community has helped the company with research for the play.

The play ends with each member of the audience being asked to place a poppy on a wreath under Pontypridd Bridge.

Each poppy remembers a local hero who died in battle.
