Woman dies and two injured, including a baby, in Gwynedd crash

A woman has died and two people have been seriously injured, including a baby, following a crash in Gwynedd earlier today.

Shortly before 11:20am police received a report of a serious two-vehicle crash on the A487 at Gellilydan involving a lorry and a Ford Fiesta car.

The female front seat passenger of the Fiesta was pronounced dead following the crash.

The female driver of the Fiesta has been airlifted to hospital in Stoke and the 6-month-old baby girl has been airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool.

Both have life threatening injuries.

The family of all three have been informed and are being supported by police officers.

Police say the A487 is due to re-open shortly.
