Celebrating live music: New map showcases Cardiff's gig venues

A free map showcasing more than 30 live music venues across Cardiff has been launched.

It follows the success of the 'Save Womanby Street' campaign earlier this year.

The campaign led to a change in planning laws, with the aim of protecting venues big and small across Wales.

The map has been created by Daniel Minty, founder and presenter of the Minty's Gig Guide to Cardiff podcast.

More than 30 venues are featured on the map

The maps feature hand-drawn illustrations of live music venues from across the city and Cardiff Bay, including the Wales Millennium Centre and St. David’s Hall to Tramshed and The Gate Arts Centre.

The funding for producing and distributing the map comes from the FOR Cardiff scheme, one of a number of Business Improvement Districts across the country.
